Arthur Zwaenepoel (Gent °1995). I studied molecular biology and bioinformatics at Ghent University (2012-2017), and later did my PhD on Bayesian statistical methods in evolutionary genomics in the group of prof. Yves Van de Peer (2017-2022). My research focus nowadays is theoretical and statistical evolutionary genetics, working on topics related to speciation, currently as an FWO-funded postdoc in the group of Hannes Svardal at the University of Antwerp. Before, I worked with Christelle Fraïsse in Lille (France) and Himani Sachdeva in Vienna. I am strongly interested in genetics, evolution, statistics, philosophy, music, biology in general, bryophytes, Fungi etc. etc.
